In this video tutorial we can see how you can replace the car door lock. Get into the car, turn off the car and set the handbrake and remove the key. To access the lock, we need to remove the door trim. The fasteners can be found behind the door handle or along the perimeter of the panel (use body shop levers to remove the covers). Remove the fasteners with a wrench. The panel is fixed using the screws and clips, so once all the screws have been removed, we have to pull the panel to release the clips. Disconnect the connectors from behind the panel, then remove the panel. If the insulating panel is present, it must also be removed. Once we have access to the lock, we must disconnect the cables that hinder its removal. Unscrew the fasteners of the lock and remove it from its seat. Replace the old lock with a new one and reassemble all parts in reverse order.
