How to Replace the Timing Belt and Water Pump

This animation shows how to generally replace a timing belt and a water pump: remember that when changing the belt, it is good practice to also change the tensioner pulley and the water pump. The animation also shows which tools to use for the job: position the bolts to maintain the timing before removing the old belt, so as not to lose the references, and rely on the marked spaces visible in the video. Remove all the pulleys and take off the belt, then remove the water pump and reinstall the new one. Refit the pulleys, including the tensioner; at this point, you can refit the belt, following the diagram in the video, align the tensioner pulley and remove the timing locks. Rotate the entire engine block clockwise, install the remaining components, and fill the coolant reservoir.
