What are the main reasons why suspensions emit beats?

In this video we see the main reasons why suspensions emit annoying beats: the first reason is the stabilizer bar links, which produce frequent and intermittent beating sounds when driving over bumps; we will need to check the bushings for cracks or play. To do this, a pry bar will be needed to leverage on the structural and load-bearing parts in different directions; the video shows how evident the play of the defective components is, which can only be replaced. The second reason is the shock absorber support, which causes metallic thuds, squeaks on rough roads or while turning the steering wheel; we will need to remove the support cover and leverage under the wheel; if we see the piston moving, it means there is a loose nut or a damaged seat and the rubber shock absorber is damaged: here too, only the damaged piece can be replaced. The third reason is the ball joints, which generate impacts or creaks during maneuvers, irregular tire wear, sudden swerves. We will need to shake the wheel both horizontally and vertically (with the car raised): a beating noise is a sign of damage, and wet and dirty dust covers indicate a leak from a component; however, this method only works if the ball joint is almost completely worn out; In this case too, the only solution is replacement; the fourth reason is the tie rods, which produce beating noise on small bumps or gravel, steering wheel vibrations, irregular tire wear. With the car raised, shake the wheel horizontally: If the components make noise and play, the tie rod or its head are broken and must be replaced. In fifth place are the bushings, which creak, irregularly wear out the tires, the steering becomes insufficient, the front of the car lowers too much and the steering wheel vibrates: we will need to check the elasticity of the bushings with a pry bar and the condition of the rubber components, which lose elasticity over time and can only be replaced.
