How do you deactivate the seat belt chime on the Volkswagen Golf?

In order to deactivate the seat belt chime of the Volkswagen Golf, you need to connect a diagnostic tool to the OBD port of the vehicle: this port is located on the dashboard immediately below the steering column. Once the scanner is connected, you can select the specific model of the car and its corresponding version: this will allow you to deactivate the setting that triggers the seat belt chime. After this setting is removed, you can disconnect the scanner and turn off the ignition.
