How to Remove the Door Panel on a New Beetle

Model: Volkswagen New Beetle MK 2, 9C - Years 1999-2012

Learn how to remove the door panel (right side) on a Volkswagen New Beetle. Before starting the disassembly, disconnect the battery terminals located in the boot. Begin the disassembly: use a lever to remove the plastic cover above the door handle, then use a screwdriver to unscrew the securing screws located there. Once all screws are removed, use the lever to detach the window switch panel and all the plastic clips securing the door. Pull the door panel away with your hands, disconnect any power connectors and release cables. Remove the metal panel if you need to work inside the door.
