How do you replace the thermostat of the Volkswagen Polo?

To replace the thermostat of the Volkswagen Polo, you will need to open the hood in order to access the components inside the engine compartment: on the right side of the compartment, immediately below the coolant reservoir, you will be able to locate the water hose. This must be disconnected in order to locate the underlying thermostat: this can now be replaced with a new spare part, to be properly inserted into its seat. Then you can reposition the hose and verify that everything is functioning correctly.
