How do you remove the radiator and cooling fans from a Volkswagen Golf Mk5? Open the front bonnet, detach the engine soundproofing panel, then use a suitable socket spanner to remove the plates securing the radiator at the top. Lift the car onto a column lift and loosen the clamp on the water hose (remove the cover panel). Disconnect the various hoses of the cooling system with pliers; unscrew the screws, pipes, and extract the fan and radiator assembly from the engine bay. Prepare to fit the new part in the engine bay: install the cooling fans, clamps, pins, and various pipes.
