How to Remove the Radiator from a VW Golf

Removing the radiator from a VW Golf. After removing the front bumper, use an appropriate socket spanner to remove the plates that secure the radiator at the top, then lift the car on a column lift and loosen the clamp on the water hose. Disconnect the various hoses of the cooling system with pliers, (unscrew the lock that secures the bonnet if it obstructs removal). Extract the fan assembly and then the radiator from the engine bay. Prepare to fit the new part in the engine bay: install the cooling fans, clamps, bolts, and various pipes. Refit the radiator mounting brackets with the attached plates. Tighten the bumper plastics well with a socket spanner. Finally, top up with the new coolant.
