Let's see how to replace the manual transmission oil on a Volkswagen Transporter T4: first of all, consult the vehicle manual to identify the exact type of fluid. Lift the vehicle and support it safely on jack stands. Locate the fill plug, which is located at the front of the transmission and is the most accessible, while the drain plug is a bit more hidden. Warm up the engine for about ten minutes. Loosen the fill plug first, because if we drain the transmission and then find that we can't open the fill plug, we will be in a difficult situation! Once we have made sure of this, open the drain plug and let the used oil drain completely. Using a filling pump (found on AliExpress with code 1005009651736895 at a price of 24.95 euros, free shipping), pour the oil into the fill plug. The level is correct when it comes out of the fill plug. Reassemble the plug and the operation is complete.
