How to replace the engine oil and oil filter of a 2005 Volkswagen Polo.

The replacement of the engine oil and oil filter must be performed on Volkswagen Polo vehicles at least once a year. The oil we recommend for the replacement is VW 50457 Della Syntium, which can be purchased online or at auto parts stores. First, we open the front hood and remove the oil filler cap to facilitate the draining from the oil pan. We lift the front of the car and, after unscrewing the oil pan bolt, let the oil drain into a container. Next, we proceed with the oil filter replacement. We unscrew the bolt that secures the filter cover and remove it for replacement; during this procedure, it will be necessary to also replace the gasket. We install the filter housing and close the oil filler cap, then pour approximately four liters of engine oil into the upper reservoir.
