How to Open and Lift the Bonnet on a Volkswagen Passat

Learn how to open the engine bonnet on a Volkswagen Passat. Pull the lever located at the bottom right of the steering wheel, then lift the bonnet slightly and pull the release lever to the left. Once the engine bonnet is released, lift it up and secure it with the prop rod. Now that the engine bonnet is open, you can perform your necessary maintenance. To close the bonnet: remove the prop rod and let the bonnet fall down from a minimal height. Ensure it is properly closed.
