Where is the Cigarette Lighter Fuse in the Volkswagen Golf?

The fuse related to the operation of the cigarette lighter in a Volkswagen Golf is located inside the fuse box behind the driver's glove compartment. To access the fuse box, you need to remove the lower dashboard and the glove compartment by unclipping the sides. To replace the fuse, use a pair of needle-nose pliers to extract fuse number 40, rated at 15 Amps and 12 Volts. Once the new fuse with the same amperage is inserted, refit the cover of the fuse box and the previously removed dashboard parts.
