- Years 1997-2003 Thermostat out of order? Let's see how to proceed with the replacement of the piece. We remove the head cover panel, disconnect the sleeves near the thermostat. Unscrew the pins on the thermostat sleeve cap as shown in the video (we use a socket wrench with relative bushes), remove the sealing cap and extract the coolant thermostat from its seat. Once the piece has been removed, replace it with a new one and close the compartment with the cap. We tighten the pins well and we're done. We correctly mount the thermostat in the appropriate housing. We cover with the head cover panel.
