Volkswagen Golf - Video tutorial
Model: Volkswagen Golf
Golf 3, Golf III, MK 3
- Years 1991-1997 Does the thermostat of our Golf need to be replaced because it is damaged? Let's see how to do it. We open the front hood, remove the thermostat sleeve clamps as shown in the video. We disassemble the alternator (we use a socket wrench with relative bushes) and remove it. We unscrew the screws of the thermostat cover. We remove the sealing cap and extract the thermostat from its seat. Once the piece has been removed, replace it with a new one, close the special compartment with the cap, tighten the locking pins well with all its parts. Make sure that you have correctly inserted and mounted the thermostatic valve in the appropriate housing. We mount the alternator and its belt.
