How to Open the Bonnet of the VW Jetta

Need to open the front bonnet on a VW Jetta for maintenance? Here’s how to do it. Pull the lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard, then slightly lift the bonnet and pull the release lever to the left. Once the engine cover is released, lift it up and secure it with the prop rod. Once the engine cover is open, you can carry out your maintenance. To close the bonnet, remove the safety rod and let the bonnet drop down from a minimal height. Ensure the bonnet is properly closed.
