Disassemble VW Golf 5 Lock

Model: Volkswagen Golf Golf VII, MK 7, Golf 7 - Years 2012-2019

Disassembling the front left door lock requires the following steps. Open the door and detach the plastic trim as shown in the video; then take a long screwdriver to remove the screw that holds the handle and lock in place (to access it, insert the screwdriver into the hole corresponding to the handle itself). Once done, you can extract both the lock cylinder and the handle. After resolving the issue (with the handle or lock), reassemble everything following the same procedures for disassembly. Insert the fixing screw, and after applying the side trim to the door, you have finished.
