Replacing Spark Plugs on VW Golf 4

Model: Volkswagen Golf Golf IV, MK 4, Golf 4 - Years 1997-2003

To replace the spark plugs on a Volkswagen Golf 4, lift the front bonnet and secure it. Remove the engine soundproofing panel (unscrew the securing screws). Disconnect the coil above the spark plug: grasp it with your hands and twist it to pull it out of the cylinder head. Unscrew the spark plug using a socket wrench. Insert the new spark plug into the cylinder head and tighten it with the socket wrench. Replace all damaged spark plugs inside the engine. Cover the engine with the plastic panel and tighten the perimeter securing screws.
