Open the Tiguan without a remote? Here’s how to open the door with the key. Take your remote and press the button to release the metal key. Once extracted, insert the key into the handle slot and lever it until the piece detaches. Insert the key into the lock and open the car door. To close the lock: take the cap and press down on the handle until you hear the locking click. Replace the remote key battery with a new one as soon as possible. Always lock the doors with the ignition key if the remote is not functioning.
