How to Remove the Speedometer from a Golf 3

Model: Volkswagen Golf Golf III, MK 3, Golf 3 - Years 1991-1997
Part: Instrument cluster

Remove the instrument cluster from the Golf? Start by taking off the side plastics above the dashboard. Remove the switch panel on the left side of the instrument cluster and the cover on the right side. Unscrew the screws located in the plastics on the sides of the instrument cluster trim using a screwdriver. Unscrew the securing screws of the instrument cluster. After removing the screws, pull the piece out from the dashboard and disconnect the power cable located at the back of the instrument cluster. Install a new piece or replace the LEDs/bulbs in the cluster and reassemble the same. After installing the instrument cluster, check its functionality.
