Disassemble the Lock from the Rear Door of Jetta

This guide covers the disassembly of the lock from the door of a Volkswagen Jetta. Open the door and remove the inner cover panel. Unscrew the securing screws located in the plastic panel (where the internal handle is). Remove the cover plastic of the door (use a plastic or metal lever if needed), and disconnect any power connectors. Disassemble the lock from the side of the external handle. Remove the faulty lock and install a new one. Follow the same procedure for reassembling the plastics and associated parts. Screw in the screws on the side of the door.
