Volkswagen Golf - Video tutorial
Model: Volkswagen Golf
MK 4, Golf IV, Golf 4
- Years 1997-2003 Before we can begin, we will have to go and sit in the driver's seat of our Volkswagen Golf. Using a slotted screwdriver, we begin to unscrew the rear screws that secure the airbag to the steering wheel. Once this is done, we will be able to extract the airbag just enough to be able to disconnect the relative plug, and we will be able to remove it. By doing so, we will have reached the nut that secures the steering wheel to the steering column. We then proceed by going to insert the steering lock, and then unscrew the fixing nut. When we have completed this step, we will be able to remove the steering wheel from the steering column, and we will have finished the disassembly.
