Operation: How to replace the battery in the Vw New Beetle 1.9 TDI

In this video we will see how to replace the battery in the Vw New Beetle. Let's start by opening the engine compartment and detaching the cover on the battery. Release the fuse and push it towards the engine air filter box. We disconnect the negative pole by unscrewing the fixing nut with a socket 10; before disconnecting the positive pole, disconnect the red power cable from the fuse. After disconnecting both poles, we can take out the fuse holder. We unscrew the battery fixing bracket using a 13mm socket wrench. We also disassemble the oil pan of the power steering to be able to extract the battery. We install the new battery and reassemble everything.
