How to Replace the Battery in VW New Beetle 1.9 TDI

In this video, learn how to replace the battery in a VW New Beetle. Start by opening the engine compartment and removing the cover over the battery. Detach the fuse box and push it towards the air filter box. Disconnect the negative terminal by unscrewing the fixing nut with a 10 mm socket; before disconnecting the positive terminal, detach the red power cable from the fuse box. After disconnecting both terminals, you can remove the fuse box support. Unscrew the battery retaining bracket using a 13 mm socket. Also, remove the power steering oil reservoir to extract the battery. Install the new battery and reassemble everything.
