Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement

Model: Volkswagen Maggiolino MK 1 - Years 1938-1980

The drain plug is located at the centre of the oil sump: position a suitable container and unscrew the nuts around the perimeter of the plug to allow the used oil to drain out; remove the gasket without damaging it and take out the flange housing the mesh filter with its gasket. Also replace the oil filter located near the left rear wheel, filling it with oil before installation. Thoroughly clean the mesh filter and reassemble it applying the relevant gaskets. Finally, fill the engine with new oil according to the SAE specifications and the quantities stated in the user and maintenance manual.
