How to Remove the Starter Motor from a VW Passat

Model: Volkswagen Passat B6, 3C - Years 2005-2010
Part: Starter motor

Lift the front bonnet. Disconnect the battery terminals. Remove the air filter housing (detach the air pipe). Access the starter motor: disconnect the starter terminals using pliers or a screwdriver, depending on the pressure of the tabs. Use a socket spanner to unscrew the securing bolts of the starter motor and remove it from the engine bay. Fit the new starter motor by connecting the power cables and securing it with the associated bolts. Refit the air filter housing and the attached pipe.
