How to replace the starter motor of the VW Passat

The starter motor of the Volkswagen Passat is located inside the front hood under the engine. This same location of the starter motor is also common in other Volkswagen models such as the Volkswagen Jetta and the Volkswagen Golf. To replace the starter motor, we need to open the front hood and use an 8mm key to remove the air conditioning motor to make space. Using a socket wrench, unscrew the nuts along the starter motor. Once the nuts are unscrewed, disconnect the connector from the starter motor and proceed with its removal. Insert the new starter motor and connect the connector first before screwing in the nuts.
