Replacement of Rear Wheel Shaft

Model: Volkswagen Maggiolino MK 1 - Years 1938-1980
Part: Axle shaft

Obtain the replacement part. Lift the vehicle, secure it, and remove the wheel. Remove the metal cover protecting the retaining bolt on the hub, which will also need to be unscrewed. If there are difficulties, use some penetrating spray. Disassemble the entire brake assembly to free the shaft. Release the shaft assembly by unscrewing the bolts at the base and remove it. Also, disassemble the anti-roll bar. Clean thoroughly from old grease. Then position the assembly with the shaft and after greasing it well, secure it with the bolts. Reassemble all components previously disassembled.
