Instructions for Removing the Car Radio

Model: Volkswagen Golf MK 6, Golf VI, Golf 6, 5K1 - Years 2008-2012

Remove the protective mat from the glove compartment located at the centre of the dashboard, just above the air vents of the central console; unscrew the underlying screws and, using a plastic lever, detach the glove compartment and the air vents by disconnecting the connector from the hazard switch. Then unscrew the fixing screws and detach the plastic trim to access the radio's fixing screws, allowing it to be removed from its position by pulling it forward and disconnecting the relevant connectors from the back.
