Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement on Volkswagen Tiguan

Model: Volkswagen Tiguan BW, MK 2, AD - Years 2016-2025

Lift the car and secure it. Remove the lower cover from the engine bay and undo the bolt that acts as a plug for the oil sump drain hole, draining the oil into a container (dispose of it correctly at recycling points). Now move to the top of the bay and remove the cover, then undo the Torx bolts of the line (clearly shown in the video) that prevent access to the oil filter. Using a 32 mm spanner, undo the oil filter, taking care not to spill oil everywhere (use rags). Close the drain hole, insert the new filter, and refill the engine oil.
