Replacing the Alternator in a Golf 6

Do you want to replace the alternator in your Golf 6? Here’s how to remove it from the engine bay. Lift the front bonnet to access the compartment, remove the engine soundproofing panel, and access underneath it. Also, remove the wheel and the splash guard. Unscrew all the alternator mounting bolts and remove the belt. Once disassembly is complete, simply remove the alternator. Take the new replacement part and insert it into the correct housing, screw in the mounting bolts, then tighten the side bolts of the alternator, secure the belt, and reattach the covering plastics.
