How to Replace the Ignition Switch on a Volkswagen Beetle

Before starting, sit in the driver's seat of your Volkswagen Beetle. Begin by disengaging the horn and disconnecting the relevant electrical connector. Next, remove the steering wheel by unscrewing the central fixing nut. Once done, disconnect the connectors of the light switch assembly, then remove the light switch assembly itself, and you will reach the screws that secure the ignition switch. Proceed by unscrewing and removing these screws, then remove the ignition switch itself, and the disassembly will be complete. To install the new ignition switch, follow this procedure in reverse, and you will have completed the replacement.
