- Years 2008-2012 We see in this guide the main instructions on how to disassemble and replace the master cylinder or the clutch pedal pump of the Volkswagen Golf. First we open the bonnet of our car and start disassembling and removing the battery; we will find below the cables to be disconnected for the disassembly of the clutch master cylinder, as illustrated in the video. At this point we remove our clutch master cylinder from the passenger compartment; then unscrew the fixing screws to remove the entire clutch pedal, removing and replacing the cylinder with the new one, following the video tutorial to the end!
