Volkswagen Golf - Video tutorial
Model: Volkswagen Golf
MK 4, Golf IV, Golf 4
- Years 1997-2003 Does the clutch pedal pump on a Golf 4 no longer work? Let's see how the engine compartment is removed from inside. We lift the bonnet and put it in safety, then, we disassemble the air filter box to access the clutch pedal pump (we remove the battery if we have problems). We begin to disassemble the clamping pins of the clutch pump, we disassemble the piece inside the passenger compartment. Once the piece has been disassembled from its seat, we are going to remove it (we disconnect the circulation pipes). We remove the clutch pipe up to the inside of the car (if it needs to be changed). We mount the new piece in the engine compartment, tighten the screws well and test the correct functioning of the clutch pump. We top up the hydraulic system with suitable oil.
