Dismantling the starter motor

Before proceeding with the dismantling of the starter motor, disconnect the battery terminals. To dismantle the starter motor, it is advisable to lift the vehicle on a lift and remove the plastic protection underneath (commonly known as a stone guard). Also, remove the left front wheel by first taking off the protective caps from the nuts and the plastic wheel arch. Then, proceed to dismantle the power cable eyelets and unscrew the fastening bolts of the starter motor. At this point, it is possible to extract the starter motor from its location by pulling it out sideways.
