If you often accidentally leave your headlights on during the day, the best solution is to install this automatic light switch on your Volkswagen Up. Start by removing the dashboard side panel on the driver's side, then take out the existing light switch using a small plastic spatula.

You will need to install a light sensor that will automatically turn on the lights.

Position it at the top, in the unshaded area of the windscreen, then run the wiring through the pillars and connect it to your switch. All of this runs through the side panel you removed.
