Engine Oil and Filter Replacement

Before draining the used oil, you may also perform an internal engine flush by adding a specific additive and running the engine until it reaches operating temperature; then position the vehicle on suitable axle stands and locate the drain plug on the oil sump, which is found on the side: unscrew the plug to drain the oil; access the engine bay and remove the coolant reservoir without disconnecting the hoses to easily reach the oil filter; then unscrew the filter with a strap wrench and screw on the new one after applying clean oil to the gasket; refit the plug under the sump, reposition the reservoir, and fill the engine with new oil until the maximum level is reached; using a can to collect the used oil is a good idea for proper disposal at a specialised centre.
