To replace the cabin fan in a Volkswagen Golf 6, loosen the screws securing the panel located directly under the glove compartment on the passenger side. By removing this panel, you will access the underlying components and locate the cabin fan. Unscrew the fixing screws from the supports and disconnect the power cables to completely remove the cabin fan from its housing for replacement. Finally, remount the dashboard panel that was removed earlier.
