How to Disable the Passenger Airbag on a Volkswagen Polo/Gol

In this video, you will see how to disable the passenger airbag on a Volkswagen Polo (or a Gol, the procedure is the same). This may be necessary if you need to transport a small child in the front seat without the airbag activated - remember that the child seat must always be installed facing the rear of the vehicle, as the airbag could harm rather than protect a very small child. On the passenger side, within the dashboard thickness, there is a lock with the label airbag on/off. It should be set to "on"; using the ignition key, switch it to "off". At the same time, the light on the dashboard will alert you to this change by illuminating in orange. Remember to reverse the operation when the child exits the vehicle.
