How to Change the Air Filter on a Volkswagen Polo

Let’s see how to change the engine air filter on a Volkswagen Polo. It’s an easy job that anyone can do. Open the bonnet and lift the engine cover. Disconnect the small pipe, then go to the air intake and unscrew the three cross-head screws that hold it closed. Loosen the two cross-head screws of the air supply pipe. Open the cover and remove the dirty filter. Replace it after cleaning the area from which you removed it, using a vacuum cleaner or a blast of compressed air to remove dust and debris. Place the new filter in position and close the compartment, refitting all five screws you removed. Reconnect the small pipe and replace the cover. Job done.
