Check Brake Pedal Function

If, with the engine running (so that the brake booster is also active), you lightly press the brake pedal and it tends to sink, while pressing it quickly results in a normal response, there are two possible causes: either there is air in the system, or there is a problem with the master cylinder of the brake pump. The second hypothesis is much more likely, as holding the pedal lightly causes the fluid to leak through the seals of the pump, and the pedal sinks. In any case, it is always best to start with bleeding the system to eliminate any air present, but if the problem persists even after bleeding, then you must address the master cylinder.
