Battery Replacement Instructions

Model: Volkswagen Golf MK 5, Golf 5, Golf V - Years 2003-2008

If the dashboard lights turn off during engine starting and the engine does not start, it means the battery is flat; open the front bonnet to access the battery located on the driver's side, next to the fuse box; then remove the cover, unscrew the bracket attached to the bottom of the battery on the engine side, take off the side cover, and unscrew the terminals starting with the negative terminal; then remove the flat battery, compare the dimensions, terminal positions, and capacity of the new battery, and proceed in reverse for installation.
