To replace the battery of the Volkswagen Golf 8 remote, press the button on the top of the device to slide out the metal key from the top. This allows you to lever inside its housing to detach the panel on the back of the remote. You can then remove the underlying battery from its seat and insert the new one. After replacing it, cover everything with the panel and check its functionality.
