How to Replace the Serpentine Belt

Serpentine belt drives last longer and perform better if proper care and attention are maintained during installation and, particularly, during the first 24 hours of operation. This is the most critical time for serpentine belts. Ensure correct mounting and alignment of the pulleys. It is crucial that the pulleys are mounted and aligned correctly. Each pulley must be assembled properly, and the bolts and screws must be tightened according to the recommended torque. After turning off the engine, securing access to the control panel, and removing the cover, loosen the engine mounting bolts. Move the engine until the tension on the belt is reduced, allowing it to be removed more easily.
