Replacing the timing belt also requires replacing the tensioner, the bearing, and especially the water pump; this is maintenance that requires good mechanical knowledge and the availability of certain tools necessary to maintain the timing marks of the engine; start by draining the coolant, then rotate the crankshaft pulley and align the timing marks by applying the appropriate tools; then loosen the tensioner to remove the belt, replace the water pump, the bearing, and the tensioner, and then fit the new toothed belt; finally, refill the engine with the appropriate coolant.
