Resetting the Service Light on the Volkswagen Crafter

Once you have changed the engine oil on the Volkswagen Crafter, you need to reset the warning system that alerts you to the need for service. Sit in the driver's seat, close all the doors, turn on the ignition, and wait for the warning message and total mileage to appear on the display. Press and hold the "0" button for about thirty seconds until you hear a beep. Immediately press the "M" button to access the specific menu, then press "M" again to go to the page dedicated to resetting, which has the oil can symbol. Now press the "0" button for two seconds, and the system will be reset.
