In this video, you will see where the starter motor is located in the Volkswagen Touran and how to proceed if you need to replace it, a very simple operation. As shown, the starter motor is positioned at the rear left of the engine and is easily accessible from the compartment.

To do this, you will need to first remove both the air filter box and the battery cover. Once access is obtained, you can disconnect the power terminals, unscrew the securing bolts, and separate the unit from the engine.

To fit the replacement, simply follow the reverse procedure.
