Mass Air Flow Sensor Replacement

Model: Volkswagen Golf Golf IV, MK 4, Golf 4 - Years 1997-2003
Part: Engine

Open and lift the bonnet and locate the sensor in question, which is the mass air flow sensor entering the engine. It is located just after the air filter, on the pipe that directs air into the engine. Remove the connector located at the top just after the filter. Now, using a special pliers to widen the ties, move the tie slightly further back, allowing you to disconnect the air pipe. To remove the sensor, simply unscrew the screws that secure it to the filter block and pull the sensor outwards to extract it.
