How to disconnect the mass air flow sensor on the Volkswagen Golf? Let's see in this video guide how to proceed. We open the car door, pull up the engine compartment opening lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard and lift up the front hood, we secure the same. Remove the air filter box from the car body, then, with a screwdriver, disconnect the wiring placed next to the engine air intake pipe and the pin of the metal clamp. We remove the filter cap with the attached mass air flow sensor. Finally we reassemble the cap of the air box with the mass air flow sensor and tighten the screws. We close the front hood finally.

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother.
