How to Replace the ABS Sensor on the Volkswagen Passat

To replace the ABS sensor on the Volkswagen Passat, lift the car and remove the front passenger side wheel. Once the wheel is off, go behind the disc to find the sensor cable. Using a flathead screwdriver, disconnect the sensor connector, spray some lubricant, unscrew the sensor bolt, and remove the sensor. Clean the sensor seat with spray lubricant and a wire brush. Take the new ABS sensor, place it in the seat, screw the bolt to the correct torque, spray the sensor connector with lubricant, blow it out, and reconnect it. Finally, clean the hub of the disc with a wire brush, apply copper grease only to the centre of the disc, spray brake lubricant on the outer part of the disc, dry it, and refit the wheel. Repeat the same procedure on the left side.
