Quick Vehicle Battery Replacement

Model: Volvo Xc90 MK 1 - Years 2002-2014

Turn off the instrument panel and wait about 5 minutes before disconnecting the battery. This allows the airbag sensors to deactivate and enables data storage in the control units.
The battery is located at the bottom of the cargo area. Lift the soundproof panel of the covering to access it.
At this point, remove the support brackets by unscrewing two bolts and a nut, and remove the plastic cover protecting the area directly under the mounting support. Now loosen the nuts on the battery cable terminals and pull out the wires. Disconnect the negative terminal first, then the positive. Now remove the battery. Once replaced, before connecting the new battery, turn the key in the ignition to position II, ensuring there are no occupants in the vehicle. Now install the new battery, connecting the positive terminal first, then the negative. Tighten securely. Now install the protective plastic cover and screw in the bolts that will hold the support brackets. Now calibrate the airflow in the dashboard: turn on the ignition, set the air control to maximum speed, then to minimum. Now calibrate the sunroof by opening and closing it.
