How do you replace the timing belt of the Volvo V50?

In order to replace the timing belt of the Volvo V50, you need to lift the car so that the right front wheel is not in contact with the ground: once it has been removed by loosening the bolts, you can also remove the inner fender to access the side of the engine block. The timing belt can be removed from its seat by loosening the central nut of the tensioner pulley: in this way the tension will be reduced and it will be possible to extract the old belt from its seat to insert the new one and verify that everything works.
